SVPC Hosts Orientation Programme on B.Com Sixth Semester Courses
St. Vincent Pallotti College in collaboration with the Bengaluru North University Teachers Council of Commerce & Management (BNUTCCM), organized a comprehensive Orientation Programme focusing on the B.Com Sixth Semester Courses aligned with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. The event took place on the 2nd April, 2024.
The occasion was graced by eminent personalities from academia with Prof. Dr. Niranjana Vanalli, Vice Chancellor of BNU, as the Esteemed Chief Guest. Joining him were the Office Bearers of BNUTCCM Dr. S. Muralidhar, President of BNUTCCM, along with Dr. Ashwathanarayana T.
Presiding over the event were Rev. Fr. Gilbert Mascarenhas, Director SVPC, Dr. E. Jerome Xavier, Principal SVPC & Rev. Fr. Joswalt, Financial Administrator SVPC.
Dr. Niranjana Vanalli, in his address, shared insightful perspectives on the importance of Curriculum Design and encouraged the attending faculty members with words of wisdom, emphasizing the pivotal role of passion in teaching.
The programme featured technical sessions meticulously crafted to cover a spectrum of courses, offering invaluable insights and updates to the faculty members. The sessions were facilitated by experiencial & well versed resource persons specializing in various fields of Commerce & Management:
- Advanced Financial Management by Mr. Ramesh G, who delved into advanced financial strategies and decision-making techniques.
- Income Tax – 2 led by Dr. Ashwini, guided participants through intricate aspects of Income Tax laws and compliance.
- Management Accounting presented by Prof. ShankaraV, elucidated managerial accounting tools and their application in organizational decision-making.
- IAS – 2 by Mr. Srinivasulu S, facilitated understanding of International Accounting Standard 2 concerning inventories.
- Investment Management delivered by Dr. C.K. Venkatesh, explored investment strategies and risk management for optimal returns.
- Customer Relationship Management led by Mrs. Kasturi, guided on fostering and maintaining strong customer relationships for business success.
- Cultural Diversity @ Workplace presented by Mrs. Sandhya V, discussed the importance of cultural diversity and effective communication in workplaces.
- Advanced Business Analytics conducted by Dr. Balaji, introduced advanced statistical methods for data-driven business decision-making.
- Assessment of Non-Individuals and Filing of ITRs presented by Dr. Jaiganesh, outlined the assessment process and compliance requirements for non-individual taxpayers.
- Internship facilitated by Dr. Shri Ram, provided guidance on securing relevant internship opportunities aligned with participants' career goals.
