The Pallotti Press Club of the Department of Arts and Humanities organized a workshop on ‘Fact Checking and Credibility of News’. The resource person was Fr. Nithin Joseph Elanjimattom, Researcher, Media Analyst and Academic Director of St Joseph College of Communication, Changanassery, Kerala. The workshop was exclusively arranged for the 3rd and 5th semester BA students. The resource person Fr. Nithin had given a brief lecture on the changing trend in the media industry due to the AI revolution.
The workshop was effective for students to get the insight on news v/s fake news and how to verify the credibility of news which spreads on online portals especially social media. His command over the communication and over the topic was spellbound. 28 students had attended this workshop. The workshop was coordinated by Prof. Elseena Joseph, faculty of Journalism, Dept of Arts and Humanities.
